The following text was written following the paths of artistic research and practice. Faced
with a difficult problem to overcome, namely, the desire to escape framing, the rectangle
that surrounds the photograph, I found in a set of artistic works some solutions and escapes from this conflict. Starting from the works of Claudia Andujar, Daido Moriyama, and David Hockney, the essay addresses issues of art and photographic language such as the circulation of photographs, the original and the copy, the influence of the medium on the construction of the image, the dilemmas of representation and the interests in falsification, light and exposure, the dreamed printing and enlargement, the desire to enter the landscape, and the imprisonment of the image established by framing.
