(Re)Thinking the notion of action in the work of the actor/actress

The questions that are the basis of this text are: What is (or can be) acting? And who acts? This paper is therefore meant to (re)think the action in the work of the actor/ actress – and, with it, the notion of presence – based on a dialogue with the thoughts of Grotowski and some concepts precious to contemplative practices, like silence, attention, perception and possible slackening of mental, emotional and motor habits with which we identify.
