This text aims at discussing the importance of the action of some artistic collectives as important part of the social production of space in contemporary cities. It understands the city as a set of territories – as a site of multi-territoriality –, with boundaries defined from multiple trajectories that manifest in it. It investigates some actions of the collectives GIA and PORO GIA and tries to interpret its importance as counter-hegemonic action of space production, opening possibilities for interpretation and spatial appropriation of the city, conceiving it as a public space.
