Abstract

Emeritus teacher of UFMG, Beatriz Coelho is the founder and former director of the Center for Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Mobile Patrimony at EBA / UFMG - Cecor. Creator of the first specialization course in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Mobile Patrimony in university, in Brazil. She is the director of the Center for Studies of the Brazilian Imaginary – Ceib. In this interview, Beatriz Coelho remembers the process of creating Cecor that celebrates forty years on September 5, 2020 and the first Specialization Course in Restoration. It also discusses the restoration of artistic works from Minas Gerais, such as the painting of the ceiling of the nave of the church of São Francisco de Assis, by Athaíde, in Ouro Preto and the wooden box of the organ of the Cathedral in Mariana.

Pós-Doutora pelo PPGArtes - Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes da EBA, Escola de Belas Artes / UFMG, com Bolsa PNPD-CAPES (Período de 5 anos: 2014 à 2019) onde desenvolveu a pesquisa: "Escola de Belas Artes/UFMG: 60 anos de Ensino-Aprendizagem em Artes" que dará origem a livro homônimo a ser editado em 2021 e atuou também como professora colaboradora em disciplinas sobre História do Cinema Brasileiro e Panorama do Cinema de Animação na Graduação e Seminários na Pós-Graduação. Co-organizadora do 1º Seminário "Pesquisas em Animação: Cinema & Poéticas Tecnológicas" na mesma instituição, realizado com apoio da CAPES e do livro homônimo que reúne os trabalhos apresentados no evento (Ed.Ramalhete, BH, 2019). Sua tese de doutorado defendida na EBA,UFMG deu origem ao livro Helena Solberg, do Cinema Novo ao Documentário Contemporâneo (É Tudo Verdade/ Imprensa Oficial de SP, 2014) e à 1ª Retrospectiva dos filmes da cineasta, no Festival Internacional de Documentários É Tudo Verdade em SP, RJ, BH, Campinas e Brasília (Abr/Jul 2014). Autora de capítulos em livros sobre o Cinema Brasileiro - Feminino e Plural, Mulheres no Cinema Brasileiro (Papirus, 2017, finalista do 60º Prêmio Literário JABUTI em 2018); Mulheres atrás das câmeras: as cineastas brasileiras de 1930 a 2018, Ed.Estação Liberdade, SP, 2019 e Curta-Metragem Brasileiro: 100 filmes essenciais, Ed.Letramento/Abraccine/Canal Brasil, 2019. Mestrado em Artes/ Cinema na EBA, UFMG (2007). Bacharel em Comunicação Social / UFMG com duas habilitações: Jornalismo e Radio e TV. Integra os grupos de pesquisa "Ensino de Arte e Tecnologias Contemporâneas" e "Cinema e História". Trabalhou por quinze anos na emissora pública de televisão Fundação Rede Minas Cultural e Educativa onde atuou como diretora de programa, editora, roteirista e documentarista. Dirigiu e apresentou por nove anos o programa Curta, dedicado à reflexão e difusão do curta-metragem brasileiro e internacional. É idealizadora e coordenadora da serie Circuito Atelier, com 55 curtas sobre o processo criativo e a pesquisa de linguagem de artistas plásticos brasileiros (veiculação no web site coletivo CArteTv). Coordenadora, crítica e curadora de mostras de cinema. Como realizadora tem trabalhos premiados no documentário digital como Toque do Samba, 2014 (veiculação no web site coletivo www.inhamis.com); Giramundo, uma história de títeres e marionetes, 2002 (veiculação no web site coletivo Grupo Giramundo); Um século de história das artes plásticas em BH (1999) e em videoarte - Horizonte Subterrâneo (1997); Ana Goebel (1995) e Vocabulário (1994). Atua principalmente nas seguintes áreas: Teoria e História do Cinema. História do Cinema de Animação, Cinema Brasileiro, Cinema de Autoria Feminina, Documentário, televisão e vídeo.
