This article aims to make a historical review of childhood and a reflection around intimacy in contemporaneity, in a process of dismantling normalized perceptions of the terms. The research in the field of art education proposes a reconsideration of childhood, defending its existence at all ages, articulating the becoming of childhood in the artistic experience. The arising of intimacies in childhood is a complex matter in effervescence throughout life, whose educative sense activates the dialogue between what appears – is manifested – and what is built in a process of disappearance. The reflection around projects involving artist's books in educational encounters, seeks to trace paths of experiential actions in children-books-adults, in the renewal of everyday life.
