Tuca Malungo, an ancestral tiger, manifests in the body of the first author in appearances that
confront the anesthesia of existential liberalism that immunizes affections. His colonial mask triggers ancestral pains that persist in contemporary times, makes visible what social amnesia erases, and promotes a visceral connection with reality. The piece is enriched by the poetic of the second author, whose photographs and visual essay activate other layers of the sensitive. The corpography, a cartography with and in the black body, in and of the garden of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, is presented as a tactic to (dis)(re)organize the historical meaning of space. It is a way of elaborate the colonial trauma in search of disalienation and make the body a territory of
liberation.
