This study aims at analyzing Cordel Literature under an artistic-literary bias. For the analysis we look for a literary perspective of Intermedialities (Clüver, 2010; Diniz, 2012), studying Cordel as a process of interartistic and transcultural hybridization. Bringing to light this compositional complexity, Cordel illuminates the Teaching of Brazilian Literature in the context of Elementary School (Vygotsky, 1991), by developing, as an experiential axis of our proposal, a reading in connections – literary, artistic, historical. The results presented so far, in Elementary School, demonstrate the extent to which the interartistic approach opens the reader’s point of view, questions the validation criteria of the work, allowing the teacher and student to develop a new look at the composition art of Cordel and its presence in the Brazilian Culture.
