La representación teatral dramática autobiográfica como intervención terapéutica

Este artículo articula las características básicas de la Performance o Puesta en Escena Autobiográfica Terapéutica (PAT). Contextualizándola en la práctica de la dramaterapia como una intervención basada en la representación teatral, el artículo evoca las raíces de la PAT en el teatro experimental y fundamenta su función curativa en conceptos de la psicoterapia. El artículo esboza los principales componentes terapéuticos de la PAT: Narrar la experiencia vivida, hallar formas estéticas que permitan plasmar los contenidos personales, encarnar y ensayar historias personales que han sido procesadas, actuar frente a un público e integrar nuevas percepciones acerca de dichas vivencias en una reflexión posterior. Por último, se hace una "advertencia" sobre el peligro potencial de utilizar esta intervención cuando no es adecuada.
