A categoria Amefricanidade como relação de estudo da identidade, memória e espaços de fronteira.

Abstract

The study of the historical, cultural and symbolic process of individuals and their groups leads us to a big question: Which path guides our project of society? This question inscribes a double movement for this article. First, to analyze the political-cultural category of Africanity, outlined by Lélia Gonzalez, and its epistemological potential to reorient the creation of a new understanding of the experience lived by black people in the Americas and, in view of this, contribute to the building of a field critical and innovative. This work was methodologically carried out from a bibliographical review of the work “The political-cultural category of Amefricanity” together with the theoretical field of analysis of identities, memory and border spaces considering the concepts of reciprocal, alterity and reciprocity. As a result, when investigating Lélia Gonzalez's thoughts, her importance and relevance as an interpreter in Brazil is clear.
