Resistências contrárias: uma análise dos movimentos femininos de Belo Horizonte no ano de 1964

Resumo

O artigo busca analisar os movimentos femininos de esquerda e de direita, ocorridos em Belo Horizonte no ano de 1964. Busca-se investigar como foi a atuação das mulheres nesses movimentos, quais foram as suas influências, e qual o resultado das suas lutas. São apontados temas inerentes à participação feminina, entendendo que as mesmas alcançaram papel de ampla relevância no cenário político do Brasil de formas distintas. Aborda-se a relação das mulheres com os antecedentes do golpe de 1964, e com sua implantação, analisando a atuação da Liga da Mulher Democrata (LIMDE), organização feminina de direita de Minas Gerais, estabelecida em Belo Horizonte, e também das organizações de esquerda, nas quais as mulheres lutaram contra a ditadura militar. Neste sentido, nota-se que em Belo Horizonte houve mulheres que romperam com o papel de dona de casa que lhes era atribuído e mulheres que se utilizaram dessa denominação para sustentar sua luta.

ABSTRACT: This paper analyzes the women's movements of the left and right, which took place in Belo Horizonte in 1964. The investigation seeks to ascertain how the performance of women was in these movements, what their influences were, and what the outcome of their struggles was. Issues concerning the female participation are analyzed, understanding that they reached the same broad significance in the political landscape of Brazil in different ways. The
article aims to address the relationship between women and the history of the 1964 coup, and its establishment. It examines the work of the Women's Democratic League (LIMDE), a right-wing women's organization of Minas Gerais, founded in Belo Horizonte, and also the left-wing organizations in which women took up arms and fought actively against the deployment of the military dictatorship.In this regard, we note that in Belo Horizonte there were women who left the role of "housewife", which they were assigned, and women who
used this term to sustain their struggle.
