Patriarcado e sexismo na formação econômica do Brasil:

uma análise da inserção feminina nas políticas desenvolvimentistas da Era Vargas

Abstract

Throughout brazil's economic formation, discrimination due to a biological nature of the female sex implied in determinations of social roles appropriate to men and women. Despite the insertion of Vargas' developmental projects, the end of political hegemony would not solve the prevailing social conflicts and it would not break with the patriarchal and sexist structures that subjugated women. In this sense, this article aims to outline an analysis of the female insertion in the developmental policies of the Vargas' Era. At first, we will make a brief contextualization on the policies adopted by Vargas in order to understand the economic and political dimensions of his regime. Later, the work will focus on an analysis of the female insertion in the policies of the Vargas' Era, seeking to understand how the political scenario, inserted in the patriarchal and macho context of society and reproducer of this condition, treated the female issue formulated the image of the woman.
