Abstract

In this paper, we propose to analyze the poetic creation of the writer Oswald de Andrade in Pau Brasil’s chapter entitled Poemas da Colonização, which was published for the first time in 1925. In those poems, we pretend to demonstrate the presence of a narrative centered on the representations of violence and poverty and the ways to resistance in the everyday life involving landlords and Colonial Brazil’s slaves.
