Abstract

Brazilian alternative newspapers played an important role in the articulation of feminist movements, demarcating the existence of multiple female voices that until then were outside the scope of representation in the public arena. Within this scenario, we find the emergence of Nzinga Informativo, a newspaper made by a collective of black women and dedicated to the black feminist cause. In this paper, using methodological tools such as bibliographic research and document analysis, we analyze the editorial of the fourth edition of Nzinga Informativo (July/August 1988), seeking to signal in the writing of these women the foreshadowing of issues that will be considered years later as part of the theoretical scope of decolonial feminism. With its own agenda, Nzinga Informativo stood out for articulating issues between racism and sexism, establishing guidelines different from those proposed until then by Eurocentric feminisms.
