Livros na fogueira: as chamas provocadas pela censura

Abstract

The article aims to analyze the interview of “Censura”, an employee of the Federal Censorship, granted to Jornal do Brasil, in 1977, at a time when few accepted to talk about government actions. The focus of the dialogue is the books seized and sent for incineration. The idea is to follow the development of the statement, contextualizing it with other sources and bibliography, to verify the conditions that led a literary production to the stake, as well as to know the possible limitations related to the censorship of books.
