ABSTRACT: This article deals with the epistemological relationship between History and Jungian Analytical Psychology. It aims to evaluate the operating structures of the two fields in order to highlight the differences and, especially, the similarities between them. Similarly, it proposes to discuss the analogous relation between the History of Mentalities and the Archetypes and the Collective Unconscious by Carl Gustav Jung. Both Jungian formulations as the History of Mentalities come from the premise that there is, in any society, a kind of Collective Mentality, something referring to a mental structure. The article aims at an epistemological and relational analysis on the knowledge around the Theory of History and Jungian Analytical Psychology. Thus, based on these assumptions, this paper aims to contribute to discussions about the Theory of History, promoting the extension of perception about the construction of historical knowledge from the individuals understanding of his time and subjectivity, to achieve, then, dimensions of the collectivity.
