Uma leitura do cotidiano das mulheres no Acre (1907-1917)

Resumo

Este artigo faz uma leitura do cotidiano das mulheres no Acre entre 1907 a 1917 por meio dos periódicos de toda a região acreana. O tempo transcorrido da pesquisa foi no período em que o Acre era território e almejava se tornar estado. Com um movimento político muito forte que usava os jornais como instrumento de divulgação de suas idéias, vê-se nos periódicos que os esforços se concentravam em mostrar que ali viviam pessoas civilizadas, capazes e prontas para se integrar ao restante do país e as mulheres tiveram participação importante nesse intento.

Abstract:
This article is a reading of the life of women in Acre between 1907-1917 through the journals of the entire region. The timespan of the research was the period in which the Acre was a territory and wished to become a state. With a very strong political movement that used the newspapers as a tool to disseminate their ideas, one sees in the newspapers that efforts were concentrated on showing that civilized people lived there, able and ready to integrate with the rest of the country and the women had participation in this important goal.
