Abstract

This paper takes the book Un homme qui dort, by Georges Perec, and the text “La spécialisation de la sensibilité à l’état matière première en sensibilité picturale stabilisée”, by the artist Yves Klein, to explore the ways in which these authors, one through writing and the other through his intervention in an art gallery, sensitize the spaces to expose the void. The ideas of Georges Didi-Huberman in the book O que vemos, o que nos olha are used to clarify the antagonistic nature of emptiness that the two works raise.

Manlio de Medeiros Speranzini

Doutor em Letras pela Faculdade de Filosofia, Letras e Ciências Humanas (FFLCH/USP) (2011), Mestre em Estética e História da Arte (PGEHA/USP) (2005) e graduado em Arquitetura e Urbanismo (FAU/USP) (1982). Construiu sua carreira profissional em duas frentes: como Designer Gráfico e como Artista Plástico. No campo da pesquisa acadêmica tem seus interesses na relação Literatura/Arte Contemporânea.
