Num caminho infinito para Ítaca: a presença e a ausência da escrita em Le Mépris, de Jean-Luc Godard, 1963

Este artigo analisa as correspondências entre as especulações sobre o cinema e o papel das instâncias de escrita no filme Le Mépris (1963), de forma a entender como essa presença cumpre, mas ao mesmo tempo desestabiliza, a questão da adaptação. Examinar a escrita nesse filme através dessas modalidades permite concluir que nele a epopeia de Homero é limitada a um circuito de alusões e subscrições, de forma a propor que a adaptação da Odisseia “preferiu não se escrever” e afirmar que o filme “resiste” a uma ideia unívoca de “texto”, refletindo sobre o cinema tanto através da presença como da ausência da escrita.
