The Agrarian Science Journal is an all-electronic, continuous flow publication, linked to the Instituto de Ciências Agrárias from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), headquartered in the city of Montes Claros, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The journal divulges unpublished scientific and academic research in significant areas of Agrarian Sciences.

This publication was created in 2009 in printed format, ISSN1984-6738. From 2015 on, the publication became exclusively online under e-ISSN 2447-6218 and was hosted in the Portal de Periódicos of the Federal University of Minas Gerais. In 2018, it started being published in a new format of diagramming, and its secondary name in English was incorporated: Agrarian Sciences Journal. In 2019, it starts being of continuous flow of publication (rolling pass).

The journal has a scientific and academic character and aims the publication of research in the related areas of Agrarian Sciences such as Environmental Sciences, Food Science and Technology, Forestry Sciences, Rural Development and Extension, Agrarian Law, Agricultural Engineering, Animal Health, Animal and Vegetable production. This journal aims to disseminate researches that contribute to the formation and scientific development in the area of Agrarian Sciences and publicise the knowledge produced. The journal has its regulations, approved by the Congregation of the Instituto de Ciências Agrárias , and its Editorial Committee, which is deliberative and consultative.
