A Formação de professores leitores literários: uma ligação entre infância e idade adulta?

Considering that literacy practices change according to the contexts (Kleiman, 1995) the authors discuss literary literacy. The paper presents the results of a research on how and why some factors interfere in the formation and use of literary reading in Portuguese teachers lives. The subjects were 138 Portuguese teachers of municipal schools in Belo Horizonte. The data were gathered through questionnaires, and then analysed both qualitatively and quantitatively.
