Abstract

Themes of food and nutrition are recurrent in Jewish culture since Biblical times, ranging from laws that are relevant to it, to portraits of its blessings or justifications for its lack. Jewish cuisine developed since then in several countries is present in the literature, observed by several aspects. This text will approach some Hebrew records of the 20th century, particularly under its literary aspect. The emphasis will be on poems by Shaul Tshernichovski.
