Abstract

Sustainability emerges as a central theme in human interactions across various spheres. For these reasons, libraries face the challenge of transforming sustainability awareness into practical actions. The central research question was to identify “Which elements can integrate a Conceptual Model for performance evaluation in sustainability management in libraries.” The objective was to propose a conceptual model for performance evaluation in sustainability management in libraries. The methodological procedures followed the stages defined in the construction of the Conceptual Model, characterized by a qualitative approach and the use of the Case Study and Bibliographic Research as data collection strategies. As a results, a bibliographic portfolio of 22 articles on the topic was formed, and a Systemic Analysis was carried out, considering the Areas/Lenses of Knowledge related to performance evaluation. After identifying and verifying the conceptual elements, the Conceptual Model for performance evaluation in sustainability management in libraries was structured. The relevance of the research lies in the compilation and organization of well-founded theoretical information, contributing to the advancement of scientific knowledge in the field and to the strengthening of sustainability in libraries.
