Author Biography

Jorge Linemburg, University of State of Santa Catarina (Brazil) - UDESC

Jorge Linemburg has a master's degree in music from UDESC - musicology/ethnomusicology research line -, the same institution in which he has been developing research on rabecas in Brazil, under the guidance of Professor Luiz Henrique Fiaminghi, since 2010. He studied violin with Marcelo Brandão Melo and had viola lessons with Keroll Weidner, Marcelo Lemos da Silva and Emerson di Biaggi. He was part of the violin group of the Orquestra de Cordas da Ilha from 2010 to 2014, and in the same function he was part of other orchestras of Florianópolis: Orquestra de Câmara UNISUL (2009), Orquestra Sinfônica de Santa Catarina -OSSCA (2009-2010) and Orquestra UDESC (2011). At the same time, he also works as violinist and rabequista in the chamber group Sexteto Clariô, since 2012.
