Resumo

Este artigo visa esclarecer e retrabalhar a análise musical realizada por Arnold Schoenberg do primeiro movimento do quarteto A Dissonância, K. 465, de Mozart, e discutir o conceito de variação progressiva. O ponto de partida é a discussão oferecida por Schoenberg sobre variação progressiva como um processo gradual de desenvolvimento motívico e harmônico.

    Norton Dudeque é professor adjunto no Departamento de Artes da Universidade Federal do Paraná, realizou doutorado (Ph.D) na University of Reading, Grã-Bretanha, onde apresentou a tese “Music Theory and Analysis in the Writings of Arnold Schoenberg (1874–1951)”.
