Abstract

Study on the identification of procedures and meansby which a post-tonal harmonic theory could be elaborated, and the facts that support these means. Some basic principles, presented by NATTIEZ (1984) as fundamental premises foranyharmonic tonal theory, served asa theoretical reference for this discussion and to verifying the application of those principles to a post-tonal framework.
