Importância da metacognição na aprendizagem do diagnóstico fonoaudiológico clínico
Abstract
Este estudo descreve o conhecimento metacognitivo de estudantes sobre a aprendizagem do diagnóstico fonoaudiológico clínico quando realizada em um ambulatório universitário. Está caracterizado como estudo de caso. Dez alunas do último período do Curso de Fonoaudiologia de uma universidade pública foram entrevistadas por meio de técnicas não estruturadas. Todas as alunas eram novatas em procedimentos diagnósticos. As alunas demonstraram possuir, tanto um conhecimento prévio relevante, como também, em algum grau, um conhecimento metacognitivo subjacente ao seu processo de aprendizagem. Observamos que a monitoração e o controle metacognitivos das estudantes foi determinante para a escolha adequada de certos procedimentos, facilitação de tarefas complexas e alcance de objetivos de aprendizagem. Fundamentado em modelos clínicos, o processo diagnóstico foi apresentado em cinco etapas: pré-consulta, anamnese, avaliações fonoaudiológicas, solicitação de exames complementares e conclusão diagnóstica. Nestas etapas, foram identificados procedimentos comuns a todas as alunas, definidos então como categorias empíricas: reflexão teórica, reflexão clínica, procura pelo professor, opinião do observador (aluno que observa o comportamento do nosso entrevistado durante o atendimento fonoaudiológico) e treinamento prático. Finalmente, para a aprendizagem do diagnóstico fonoaudiológico clínico dos sujeitos deste estudo, a metacognição foi extremamente importante para aperfeiçoar este processo.Downloads
