Falhas nas avaliações tradicionais em diversos níveis de escolaridade: um estudo envolvendo tópicos de matemática financeira através de níveis e subníveis de modelos mentais

A partir de tópicos de matemática financeira, juros e porcentagens, estudados em diversas faixas de escolaridade (do ensino fundamental ao superior) criou-se uma hipótese de níveis e subníveis para a evolução dos modelos mentais ao longo da vida escolar. Após uma investigação envolvendo 92 estudantes de diversas idades, verificaram-se discrepâncias em relação a maturidade conceitual dos grupos de alunos que receberam uma mesma instrução formal. Aliado a isto, verificou-se ainda que avaliações tradicionais podem não refletir o real estado de evolução cognitiva dos estudantes (medidos por meio de modelos mentais), fazendo com que estas lacunas conceituais não possam ser observadas durante o percurso acadêmico.
