A emergência da Filosofia da Química como campo disciplinar

Química e filosofia tiveram pouco diálogo no século XX. A despeito de sua importância cultural, a química, a ciência mais central, é, surpreendentemente, a mais insular em questões filosóficas e não tem sido um objeto importante das análises dos filósofos e da epistemologia geral. Apenas recentemente, no início da década de 1990, químicos/filósofos têm construído a filosofia da química como um campo disciplinar emergente no quadro da filosofia da ciência geral. O objetivo deste trabalho é caracterizar esse recente campo de estudo por meio da abordagem dos principais problemas, atores e interrelações, para defender como uma fonte importante para o currículo de química.
