This is an account of the experience obtained in the Project Telenursing with the purpose of providing a description of the accomplished activities, which focused on professional capability. During the distance course, activities concerning permanent education were conducted, making use of web conferences and tele consultancies as educational tools. These activities meet the needs which were pointed out by professionals in the field of healthcare and take the demand for welfare as a guiding reference to themed discussions, providing subsidies to the process of decision-making while solving clinical cases. The results reached attest the importance of incorporating technology into processes of profession-al capability of health teams, groups and individuals, as long as applying it to the qualification of health assistance, once it allows professionals to have access to capability opportunities as a part of the working process and also reduces patients’ displacements to get to a specialized evaluation.
