Abstract

This is a description of the current organization of the curriculum of the Nursing Course at Faculdade de Medicina de Marília (FAMEMA), considering the process of permanent development over the seven years of implementation of the integrated curriculum and active teaching-learning methodologies. This is an innovative model in which curricular development is understood as a continuous process, considering the dynamics of society and health services. The complexity of training nurses in order to meet current demands, making it possible to reflect on professional practice and the feasibility of changes, is without a doubt, the main challenge.
