Management of basic health units

The study analyzes the management of basic health units. It uses a qualitative approach, carrying out data collection through semi-structured interviews. Managers were interviewed of UBS of the Northwest Sanitary District in the city of Belo Horizonte. The data demonstrate the importance of management in the organization and control of the work process and it is shown that it is necessary to redefine the management model, considering the technological transformations of health work. Concludes that the manager is a strategy for the reorganization of assistance model, stimulating interdisciplinary activities in building new sanitary practices and planning actions for quality health care to the clients.Downloads
