dialectical and dialogical learning between Brazil and Ecuador

Abstract

This writing presents reflections arising from long processes of extension work, which involve the production of crafts with two groups of artisan women: indigenous people from Ecuador and peasants from the MST, from southern Brazil. The reflections are based on extension practices that distance themselves from the logic of simply well-being, but seek to break with the hegemonic paradigm of knowledge and aim at effective social transformations for peripheral women. To do this, we dialogue with critical theories, such as decoloniality and popular education, in the construction of a feminist science that incorporates the popular knowledge of Latin American women, that has this perspective as its starting point and takes into account the good life of women from Abya Yala as the arrival point.
