Abstract

This article draws a parallel between the insertion of arts and extension in the university context, based on the concept of body-territory as a key to thinking about Art as an extensive network and Extension as a structuring way of decoloniality in the composition of curricula. With the aim of contextualizing the sensitive praxis of the body and its dramaturgies together with the art-extension binomial, three artistic-extension experiences experienced at the Universidade Federal do Sul da Bahia are analyzed: Encontro de saberes, Grupo de Dança da UFSB e o Circuito de leituras dramáticas do CFAC. By reflecting on experiences based in territories where communities constitute the epistemological basis of knowledge, we seek to raise points of tension between the challenges of recognizing the arts of presence as a way of deterritorializing knowledge and the intricacies of curricularization of extension.

    Éder Rodrigues da Silva  –  Prof. Dr. from the Postgraduate Program in Arts at the Federal University of Southern Bahia UFSB and from the Postgraduate Program in Performing Arts at the Federal University of Ouro Preto UFOP – Playwright, stage artist, researcher – Adjunct Professor at the Training Center in Arts and Communication from UFSB

  • Eloisa Leite Domenici, Universidade Federal do Sul da Bahia

    Eloisa Domenici is an associate professor at the Arts Training Center at the Federal University of Southern Bahia, working in the Postgraduate Program in Arts at UFSB and the Postgraduate Program in Performing Arts at UFBA. She is an artist with a degree in Dance from the State University of Campinas and a PhD in Communication and Semiotics from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. Carried out post-doctoral research with the Epistemologies of the South group, at the Center for Social Studies at the University of Coimbra.
