The art of territorializing the university

In the form of an affectionate report, we present our experience in the course Knowledge and Practices of the Land offered by the Transversal Training in Traditional Knowledge at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). Involving a trip with a group of students, teachers, and masters of traditional knowledge from Minas Gerais to two territories in the south of Bahia aiming a practical-pedagogical experience, the course pointed to promising paths for the confluence of teaching, extension and the internalization of the university. The article aims to characterize the gesture of territorializing the university through a decolonising curricular praxis that dialogues and builds knowledge with both organic intellectuals and forms of living cosmos sciences and, more specifically, in the territories, by proposing iconographic and epistemic displacements.
