The paper analyzes Brasília’s street carnival as an insurgent space that activates experiences
of the desiring body. Drawing from Hélio Oiticica’s work, especially the Parangolé and the concept of delirium ambulatorium, it interprets the carnival as a heterotopic labyrinth shaped by gestures of invention, ginga, and subversion. Based on the aesthetics of ginga, as developed by Paola Berenstein Jacques, it reflects on urban reexistence and the right to the city during carnival. With an essayistic approach and articulating theoretical and cultural references, it concludes that the carnival creates an ephemeral spatiality where the body reinvents the urban through improvisation, desire, and collectivity.
