Abstract

Investigates in this text the emblemátic exhibition Les Immatériaux , thought and curated by JeanFrançois Lyotard at the Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, in 1985. It is to think how the exhibition was built and designed by the philosopher showing the immateriality as a concept to think postmodern art and life.

Jean-Louis Déotte, Université de Paris VIII, France

Jean-Louis Déotte é filósofo e foi Professor na Université de Paris VIII. Seus temas de pesquisa são a estética, a filosofia da arte e da técnica. Ele trabalhou notadamente sobre Jean-François Lyotard, Walter Benjamin e sobre as noções de museu, de aparelho, de diferença estética e cosmética. É o autor de Le Musée, l’origine de l’esthétique (1993), Oubliez ! Les ruines, l’Europe, le musée (1994) e editor da revista on-line Appareil.
