Translation of excerpt from chapter 13 of the book Short Nights of the Shadow Catcher – the epic life and immortal photographs of Edward Curtis, by Timothy Egan (USA, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2012), about the epic work of the famous American photographer who undertook shooting all Amerindian peoples of the United States in the early twentieth century. In that chapter, entitled “Moving Pictures – 1913-1915”, the author narrates the adventures and misadventures of Curtis and his team to perform the filming of In the land of the headhunters, movie produced wth the Kwakiutl Indians.
