From Life and Art narratives, this paper brings the re-elaboration of experiences of teaching/learning theater at school, with students from a public school in Maranhão, in the years 2017 and 2018. Memories are activated through the approach to Queer Theory, bythe writings of Miskolci (2017), Louro (2004) and Nascimento (2022), having as maininvestigative question: can learning situations about sexuality, gender and desire comefrom the students themselves? After the intertwining of memories under the gaze of thepresent, the urgency of transgressing the fanciful certainties about “who teaches” and “wholearns” is brought up as a proposition. It is also pointed out, as a provocation brought bythe respective theory to the teaching of art, the perception that the potency is in thebodies in relation and in the whole process of opening and construction that may arisefrom this assumption
