Powering Blackness from Green Book Film Analysis

This paper aims to develop a film analysis based on how we perceive and understand poetics as an inseparable element of everyday life. To do so, we present the imagery deconstruction of the film Green Book in which we criticize the hierarchical views and conditioned to the standard of normality referring to black bodies and that transgress the universe of everything that is pointed out as standard. The text impels us to reflect on the pain of black bodies, on the pain caused by xenophobia and on the school failure of one of the protagonists of the film, who is then helped by the protagonist Don Shirley to overcome his difficulties with writing. So he breaks with stereotypes based on the representation of an internationally renowned black musician and his friendship built in the midst of overcoming differences, where different people understand each other in mutual and social learning processes.
