Abstract

It belongs to human nature to seek aesthetic pleasure in artistic expression. When we listen to Art Songs, we experience this beauty through the emotions conveyed to us as the audience. This text highlights the importance of carefully planning the interpretation of the musical piece, selecting meaningful keywords, managing emotional intensity, creating a cohesive flow of imagery, and expressing authenticity. It stresses the significance of staying true to the original work and continually refining interpretive skills as an artist.

Author Biography

Ricardo Johny Tuttman, Federal University of Rio de Janiero (Brazil) (UFRJ)

Doctor in Musicology (Pontifical Catholic University of Santa María de los Buenos Aires, Argentina); Master in Music - Singing (UFRJ); Bachelor in Music: Singing (Brazilian Conservatory of Music; Full Degree in Music (Cândido Mendes University); Chemical Engineer (UFRJ). He has been a laureate in various singing competitions, winning a total of 17 awards, including four first places and seven Best Performer awards. He received a Special Award at the III Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition and was a Semi-Finalist at the IX Rio de Janeiro International Singing Competition in 1979. In the 12th and 13th editions of this competition, he was its Official Presenter, receiving an Honorable Mention - Presenter diploma from the jury in 1985. Assistant Professor of Singing at the UFRJ School of Music.
