This article aims to analyze the region of Naukratis, in Egypt, and its paper in the political and economic structures of the Mediterranean, considering the hellenic conjuncture and its relations with the egyptian state. The port shows many archaeological artefacts, which analyses reveal the amplitude of the insertion of Naukratis in the connectivity network. I seek to explore the Greek’s interesting in this region, showing how the integration between the Helens and the Egyptians contributed to the circulation of goods and for the acquisition of agricultural genera by the greeks, what helped them to face the periods of supply recession and political crises.
