Plurilinguismo e multiculturalismo
O caso das literaturas de Goa

A partir da ideia de Damodar Mauzo (2018) de como a literatura pode unir uma cultura, o objetivo deste artigo é analisar quatro contos nas quatro línguas principais de Goa, ex-colônia portuguesa na Índia (1510-1961) em termos do conceito de “agrupamentos literários” [literary clusters] (Mohanty, 2011), obras literárias em diferentes línguas que pertencem ao mesmo espaço multicultural ou “geografia significativa” (Orsini, 2015; Laachir et al, 2018), neste caso, Goa: “Shiva brincando!” (2005), de Maria Elsa da Rocha, em português; “O crucifixo na corrente” [Gallyantulo khuris] (2015), de Prakesh Parienkar, em concanim; “Diz Kabira” [Kahat Kabira] (2018), de Vithal L. Gawas, em marata, e “Saibinn” (2008), por José Lourenço, em inglês. Ao reunir esses contos pretendo mostrar que todos estes autores goeses reivindicam Goa, a sua “geografia significativa”, como um lugar para todos, além de diferenças culturais, sociais ou religiosas.
