This work aims to providing a brief reflection on the intermedia relations, more specifically between literature and pop song, that result from this contact in contemporary narratives. They belong to what Evelina Hoisel and Décio Cruz conceive as pop literary discourse, a notion drawn from the convergence between literature and other languages, in the context of a globalized society. Based on the concept of intermediality, according to Claus Clüver and Irina Rajewski, we intend to understand how is it possible to treat pop songs in contemporary narrative as sound tracks. In order to do so, we analyse scenes from novels such as Go, by Nick Farewell, Álbum duplo: um rock romance, by Paulo Henrique Ferreira and Leila Sales’s A playlist da minha vida, in which pop songs are significant axis, related both to the aesthetic configuration of the texts and to the representation of subjectivities.
