Abstract
This study, of an exploratory theoretical nature, aims to show the importance of competence in information combined with museum education, aimed at internal professionals in small museums. In this context, this professional, using the processes of competence in information and continuing museum education, recognizes the generation, sharing and use of information, through training and information in the use of available information resources. The partial results indicate that investments in collective learning are necessary in order to train these information professionals. As a conclusion, it is proposed to demonstrate that the museum as an organization and information unit must take information into account as a strategic resource and, with that, create an environment of dialogue and organizational learning.
