Author Biography

Gabriel Ferrão Moreira, Santa Catarina State University (UDESC) (Brazil)

Master's student in Music - research line Musicology-Ethnomusicology at the State University of Santa Catarina - holds a degree in Music from the same university (2008). Currently researching the musical representations of Brazilianness in the work of Heitor Villa-Lobos, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Acácio Tadeu de Piedade Camargo. In this same research, he also seeks guidance from the History discipline, where he was able to present his work at the XXV National Symposium of History at the Federal University of Ceará, in 2009. He also works with musical projects and musical events organization at Comunidade Batista de Ingleses, Florianópolis - SC. He has experience in the Arts area, with emphasis on Music, working mainly on the following topics: composition, classical music, popular music, classical-romantic and music education. He is a CNPQ/CAPES scholar.
