Abstract

This research aims to study the effect of Bodypercussion exercises on balance and executive functions of children with DCD. Thirty children with DCD between seven and nine years of age were selected from girls' elementary schools. The subjects were randomly divided into two groups: experimental and control (15 subjects in each group). For eight weeks, the experimental group participated in group BAPNE neuromotor sessions. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and mixed ANOVA test with repeated measures and Bonferroni's post hoc test. The results showed that the result of BAPNE body percussion exercises on static balance (P=0.001), dynamic balance (P=0.001), sustained attention (P=0.001) and response inhibition (P=0.001) is significant and participants in the experimental group performed better at post-test (P=0.001) and follow-up (P=0.001) than the control group.

Elahe Khanjankhani, Yazd University, Iran

Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Farhangian University, Semnan, (2016), Master's degree in motor behavior- physical education teaching, Yazd University (2022) Mrs. Khanjankhani is physical education teacher since 2012. Most of his teaching is in elementary and high school. She is interested in coaching and is working professionally as a volleyball coach now. She is interested in continuing his education and attending to Ph.D. course. She spends his free time with sports, hanging out with friends, reading books and her child! Research on children with developmental coordination disorder and presentation of body percussion interventions based on the BAPNE method created valuable and new experiences so that as a valuable research as the first scientific article by her and the research team, paper has the ability to publish in prestigious and high-level journal. Cooperating with faculty members and creating a common research field with international researchers and experts in this field was a lasting and valuable experience.

Hossein Samadi , Yazd University, Iran

Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Kharazmi University, Tehran, (2009), Master's degree in motor behavior from Shahid Bahonar University, Kerman, (2011), PhD in motor behavior from Urmia University (2016), Hossein Samadi has worked as a physical education secretary and head of the educational group in Yazd province for about 7 years. Dr. Samadi has been teaching and researching as a faculty member at Yazd University since 2017. So far, more than 50 articles and 12 books have been published by him. There is more scientific research in Farsi, but international scientific articles have also been published in this field. Dr. Samadi's sports expertise is in football, but he also specializes in working with children and the principles of game and sports design and physical activity interventions for children and teenagers and people with special needs. Creating the field of international cooperation with prominent researchers as well as scientific interactions with experts in the field of sports science and health is one of his interests.

Saeid Ahar, Yazd University, Iran

Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Kharazmi University, Tehran, (2014), Master's degree in motor behavior - motor learning and control from Allameh Tabatabai University, Tehran, (2015), Specialized Ph.D. in motor behavior-motor development from Khwarazmi University, Tehran, (2020), Dr. Ahar is the youngest member of the academic staff of Yazd University, who has been teaching since 2023 as an assistant professor. During his studies at the Ph.D., he was present as a researcher for 7.5 months at Palacky University in the Czech Republic. He has also experienced another specialized scholarship course at the Children's Developmental Disorders Research Center at Yazd University of Medical Sciences. Dr. Ahar has published 15 articles and 2 books so far, the main field of this research is working on children and people with neurodevelopmental disorders. Effective international cooperation with professors in prestigious universities and scientific publications is one of Dr. Ahar's goals and visions.
