La música desde el punto de vista neurocientífico

Resumen

El estudio de las neurociencias ha aportado muchas contribuciones en diversas áreas, buscando comprender mejor el funcionamiento del cerebro humano. Además, muchos estudios han señalado el papel de la música como herramienta de intervención en diferentes alteraciones neurológicas como la afasia, el autismo y la dislexia. Este artículo presenta una revisión de los trabajos publicados en revistas internacionales en la última década, relacionados a la música y la neurociencia, representativos de cada una de las subáreas mencionadas. Se concluyó que hay una contribución de la neurociencia al campo de la música, la pedagogía musical y la interpretación, así como al campo de la la musicoterapia.

  • Viviane Cristina da Rocha, Universidad Presbiteriana Mackenzie, São Paulo, SP (Brasil)

    Soprano, comenzó sus estudios musicales en 2003. Estudió en la Escola Municipal de Música de São Paulo, bajo la dirección de Caio Ferraz. Es licenciada en Música con especialidad en Canto Lírico por el Instituto de Artes de la UNESP, habiendo recibido clases de Márcia Guimarães y Martha Herr. Recibió el premio de Excelencia por su TCC titulado "O preparador vocal e seu trabalho junto ao regente de coro - O caso do Coro de Câmara da UNESP" (El preparador vocal y su trabajo junto al director del coro - El caso del Coro de Cámara de la UNESP), bajo la supervisión de Martha Herr. Estudiante de maestría en Trastornos del Desarrollo en la Universidad Presbiteriana Mackenzie, donde desarrolla investigaciones sobre la relación entre el cerebro y la música en el Laboratorio de Neurociencia Cognitiva y Social bajo la dirección del Profesor Doctor Paulo Boggio. Trabaja profesionalmente como cantante, entrenadora vocal de coros y profesora. Actualmente es profesora del Conservatorio Souza Lima de São Paulo.

    Psicólogo, especialista en Neuropsicología, Máster en Psicología Experimental y Doctor en Neurociencias y Comportamiento por la Universidad de São Paulo. Productividad del investigador 2 del CNPq. Profesor adjunto en el Programa de Postgrado en Trastornos del Desarrollo y en el Curso de Psicología de la Universidad Presbiteriana Mackenzie.  Coordinador del Centro de Neurociencia del Comportamiento y Coordinador del Laboratorio de Neurociencia Cognitiva y Social del Centro de Ciencias Biológicas y de la Salud de la Universidad Presbiteriana Mackenzie.
