Contribuições do PIBID à Formação Inicial de Professores de Ciências na Perspectiva dos Licenciandos

O Programa Institucional de Bolsa de Iniciação à Docência (PIBID) é um Programa da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) que dentre seus objetivos pretende oferecer condições para uma maior integração entre as escolas da Educação Básica e as instituições formadoras, promovendo, assim, uma articulação entre a teoria e a prática da docência, contribuindo para a elevação da qualidade dos cursos de licenciatura e também do desempenho das escolas nas avaliações nacionais, acarretando, consequentemente, um aumento no Índice de Desenvolvimento da Educação Básica (IDEB). O artigo original aqui apresentado buscou avaliar as contribuições que o PIBID tem trazido para a formação inicial de professores de Ciências que atuarão na Educação Básica. A pesquisa foi realizada com discentes dos cursos de Licenciatura em Física e Química da Universidade Estadual de Santa Cruz (UESC) e que participaram do PIBID como bolsistas durante dois anos, convivendo diretamente com a realidade da escola pública. Os dados foram obtidos por meio de um questionário com três questões, no qual os participantes refletiram a respeito de sua participação nos subprojetos do Programa. Os dados nos possibilitam pensar nas contribuições dos subprojetos do PIBID em questão, na medida em que se observou uma antecipação da vivência da experiência da prática docente, além de discutir as possíveis conseqüências da participação nas ações dos subprojetos PIBID para a formação e a ressignificação do lugar ocupado pela escola na formação de professores.
