Professors Fabiane Ribeiro Ferreira, Daniela Virgínia Vaz and Paula Maria Machado Arantes de Castro act as adjunct professors in the Physiotherapy Department at the Federal University of Minas Gerais and participate in the teaching project "Evaluation of Clinical Competencies of Students" in the Physiotherapy Course. They introduced the Objective Structured Clinical Examination, which is an assessment tool to measure clinical skills and competences in health students, in the Physiotherapy Course. Widely used in courses such as medicine and nursing, for two years it has been applied in the Physiotherapy course at UFMG through the initiative of the teachers. They believe that this tool is a differential in the teaching and learning process and a challenging assessment method for the physiotherapy teacher. In this interview, Fabiane Ribeiro Ferreira, Daniela Virgínia Vaz and Paula Maria Machado Arantes de Castro spoke about the inclusion of this exam in the course and its meaning for the teacher and student.
