This study describes the violence against professionals in the Basic Health Care Units as an element which makes it difficult to carry out the management function. The understanding of the data from interviews with managers in the municipality of Belo Horizonte was achieved through the discourse analysis technique. Violence against the health team is seen as a reflection of the socio-economic conditions of the country. The interdisciplinary and inter-sectorial focus of issues demanded from the health services is seen as a proposal to qualify the care provided. We conclude that the discussion needs to be present in the work process so as to bring about changes in sanitary practices.Downloads
